Report a bug
A tool produced the wrong thing, refused a file it should have taken, or the page misbehaved? Tell us and it gets fixed. Reports about a specific file are the most useful kind, because those are the ones we can reproduce.
What makes a report easy to act on
- 01The tool you used and what you expected instead. “Split PDF gave me 3 files from a 10-page document” is enough to start on.
- 02Rough details about the file: how many pages, roughly how large, and which program produced it. Scanned PDFs and PDFs exported from Word behave very differently.
- 03Whether it happens every time or only once. Both are worth reporting; knowing which changes where we look first.
- 04Not the document itself. We cannot accept attachments and would rather not have them — if you need a file to demonstrate the problem, build a stand-in with the dummy PDF generator and tell us the settings you used.
Before you report
Two things account for most of what gets reported. A very large file can exhaust the memory your browser is willing to give a single tab — because the work happens on your device, a document that fails at 400 MB will often go through once split into halves. And a password-protected PDF has to be unlocked before any other tool can read it, which usually shows up as an unhelpful “could not open” message.
